Stageworks is located on the east side of the Hudson River in New York's mid-Hudson Valley between the Catskill and Berkshire mountains. Driving time from New York City is about 2 hours. From Albany, it is about a 45 minute drive. The trip from New York City by Amtrak is about 2 hours. We are within walking distance of the Hudson Amtrak station.
DIRECTIONS TO STAGEWORKS:
FROM THE NORTH (Greater Albany using I-90, no tolls):
Take I-90 east to exit 12. Follow Route 9 south about 15 miles to Hudson. Continue south on Route 9 (Fairview Avenue) until you see a Stewart's Shop on the right. Go straight for one more block to the "T" junction. Turn right at the "T" (Columbia Street), then take the next left fork and go over the hill passing the hospital on your right. On the other side of the Hospital, turn right at the light onto Warren Street and proceed as "In Hudson" below.
FROM THE NORTH (Greater Albany using the Thruway, tolls):
Take the Thruway (87) south to exit 21 (Rip Van Winkle Bridge / Route 23 / Hudson) Cross the river and follow Route 23 east about a half mile to Route 9G (Hudson). Turn left on Route 9G and proceed north about three miles to Hudson. (Route 9G becomes “Third Street” in Hudson.) At the third light, turn left on Warren Street and proceed as "In Hudson" below.
FROM THE EAST (Northern Berkshires):
Take the Berkshire Spur of the New York State Thruway to exit B2 for the Taconic Parkway. Follow the Taconic Parkway south to Route 23 (about 16 miles). Turn west on Route 23 and proceed about ten miles to Hudson. (Route 23 becomes 23B in Hudson - stay on Route 23B.) When you reach the junction of Route 9 ("Fairview Avenue"), take the next left fork and go over the hill passing the hospital on your right. On the other side of the Hospital, turn right at the light onto Warren Street and proceed as "In Hudson" below.
FROM THE EAST (Southern Berkshires):
Take Route 7 to Great Barrington. In Great Barrington, turn west on Route 23 and proceed about 27 miles to Hudson. (Route 23 becomes 23B in Hudson - stay on Route 23B.) When you reach the junction of Route 9 ("Fairview Avenue"), take the next left fork and go over the hill passing the hospital on your right. On the other side of the Hospital, turn right at the light onto Warren Street and proceed as "In Hudson" below.
FROM THE SOUTH (Greater NYC):
Take the New York State Thruway (I-87) north about 120 miles to exit 21 (Rip Van Winkle Bridge / Route 23 / Hudson) Cross the river and follow Route 23 east about a half mile to Route 9G (Hudson). Turn left on Route 9G and proceed north about three miles to Hudson. (Route 9G becomes “Third Street” in Hudson.) At the third light, turn left on Warren Street and proceed as "In Hudson" below.
FROM THE SOUTH (NYC Alternate Route):
Take the Henry Hudson Parkway until it becomes the Saw Mill River Parkway and continue on the Saw Mill to the Taconic State Parkway North. Take the Taconic State Parkway to the Claverack Exit and Route 23. Turn west on Route 23 and go about eight miles to Hudson. (Route 23 becomes 23B in Hudson - stay on Route 23B.) When you reach the junction of Route 9 ("Fairview Avenue"), take the next left fork and go over the hill passing the hospital on your right. On the other side of the Hospital, turn right at the light onto Warren Street and proceed as "In Hudson" below.
BY TRAIN FROM NYC (2 hours):
Take the Amtrak train from Penn Station, in Manhattan at 7th Ave. and 32nd Street, to Hudson, New York. Cross Front Street and walk up Cross Street about a block. IN HUDSON:
Take Warren Street west toward the Hudson River. At the end of Warren Street, turn left on Front Street, proceed south for a few blocks and watch for the red Amtrak train station on the right.
