WHERE WE ARE

Stageworks is located on the east side of the Hudson River in New York's mid-Hudson Valley between the Catskill and Berkshire mountains. Driving time from New York City is about 2 hours. From Albany, it is about a 45 minute drive. The trip from New York City by Amtrak is about 2 hours. We are within walking distance of the Hudson Amtrak station.

USING A GPS (or GoogleMaps, YahooMaps, MapQuest, etc.):

Using these utilities make a great way to find us. However, please note the "Parking and Location Map" near the bottom of this page (click to go there now). Your GPS or other utility will find us at 41 Cross Street in Hudson NY, but it will not indicate our parking lot. Parking on Cross Street in front of our building is for handicap access or drop offs only. Please proceed around to the back of the building for regular (free) theater parking and the main theater entrance.

FROM THE NORTH (Greater Albany using I-90, no tolls):

Take I-90 east to exit 12. Follow Route 9 south about 15 miles to Hudson. Continue south on Route 9 (Fairview Avenue) until you see a Stewart's Shop on the right. Go straight for one more block to the "T" junction. Turn right at the "T" (Columbia Street), then take the next left fork and go over the hill passing the hospital on your right. On the other side of the Hospital, turn right at the light onto Warren Street and proceed as "In Hudson" below. <jump to "In Hudson">

FROM THE NORTH (Greater Albany using the Thruway, tolls):

Take the Thruway (87) south to exit 21 (Rip Van Winkle Bridge / Route 23 / Hudson) Cross the river and follow Route 23 east about a half mile to Route 9G (Hudson). Turn left on Route 9G and proceed north about three miles to Hudson. (Route 9G becomes “Third Street” in Hudson.) At the third light, turn left on Warren Street and proceed as "In Hudson" below. <jump to "In Hudson">

FROM THE EAST (Northern Berkshires):

Take the Berkshire Spur of the New York State Thruway to exit B2 for the Taconic Parkway. Follow the Taconic Parkway south to Route 23 (about 16 miles). Turn west on Route 23 and proceed about ten miles to Hudson. (Route 23 becomes 23B in Hudson - stay on Route 23B.) When you reach the junction of Route 9 ("Fairview Avenue"), take the next left fork and go over the hill passing the hospital on your right. On the other side of the Hospital, turn right at the light onto Warren Street and proceed as "In Hudson" below. <jump to "In Hudson">

FROM THE EAST (Southern Berkshires):

Take Route 7 to Great Barrington. In Great Barrington, turn west on Route 23 and proceed about 27 miles to Hudson. (Route 23 becomes 23B in Hudson - stay on Route 23B.) When you reach the junction of Route 9 ("Fairview Avenue"), take the next left fork and go over the hill passing the hospital on your right. On the other side of the Hospital, turn right at the light onto Warren Street and proceed as "In Hudson" below. <jump to "In Hudson">

FROM THE SOUTH (Greater NYC):

Take the New York State Thruway (I-87) north about 120 miles to exit 21 (Rip Van Winkle Bridge / Route 23 / Hudson) Cross the river and follow Route 23 east about a half mile to Route 9G (Hudson). Turn left on Route 9G and proceed north about three miles to Hudson. (Route 9G becomes “Third Street” in Hudson.) FROM THE SOUTH (NYC Alternate Route):

Take the Henry Hudson Parkway until it becomes the Saw Mill River Parkway and continue on the Saw Mill to the Taconic State Parkway North. Take the Taconic State Parkway to the Claverack Exit and Route 23. Turn west on Route 23 and go about eight miles to Hudson. (Route 23 becomes 23B in Hudson - stay on Route 23B.) When you reach the junction of Route 9 ("Fairview Avenue"), take the next left fork and go over the hill passing the hospital on your right. On the other side of the Hospital, turn right at the light onto Warren Street and proceed as "In Hudson" below. <jump to "In Hudson">

BY TRAIN FROM NYC (2 hours):

Take the Amtrak train from Penn Station, in Manhattan at 7th Ave. and 32nd Street, to Hudson, New York. Cross Front Street and walk up Cross Street about a block. FROM THE WEST (Greene County/Catskill Region):

Take Route 23 to the Rip Van Winkle Bridge. Cross the river and follow Route 23 east about a half mile to Route 9G (Hudson). Turn left on Route 9G and proceed north about three miles to Hudson. (Route 9G becomes “Third Street” in Hudson.) At the third light, turn left on Warren Street and proceed as "In Hudson" below.


IN HUDSON:

Take Warren Street west toward the Hudson River. At the end of Warren Street, turn left on Front Street, proceed south for a few blocks and watch for the red Amtrak train station on the right. Just before the train station turn left onto Cross Street. Free theater parking is at the back of the building. Please see the Parking & Location Map below. For assistance call us at 518-822-9667.


PARKING & LOCATION MAP FOR STAGEWORKS:

Free theater parking is available at the back of the building. As you come down Front Street in Hudson, before you reach the Amtrak train station, turn left onto Cross Street, and continuing around to the back of our building until you see our parking lot on the left. The main theater entrance is directly across from our parking lot.

HANDICAP ACCESS

Limited handicap parking is available in front of our street level entrance on Cross Street. Please let us know if you require handicap access, may need handicap parking or other assistance.

Cross Street is a residential street — Except for handicap access, please respect our neighbors by using our parking lot. Thank You!
