Paris 1890 Unlaced!
An exciting new one-hour, one-woman play by Juliane Hiam.
Join actress Anne Undeland as she brings to life an infamous courtesan and the clueless but ambitious cancan dancer who threatens to dethrone her as the city’s reigning grande horizontale. Paris 1890 – Unlaced! is a quick and saucy romp through the Parisian demimonde, it’s a whirlwind of costume, character, and accent changes, it’s a good laugh, it’s a thought-provoker, and, bien sûr, it’s a little risqué business.
Along with all the glittering, titillating fun, however, Paris 1890 – Unlaced! is also an insightful look at aging, friendship, celebrity, and – most intriguingly — sexual politics.
